Arcadia Heritage Resort is set on a quiet hillside in Darjeeling, part of a legacy estate acquired in 1945 by Sangeet Bhaskar Shyamanand Singh, a celebrated classical musician and national billiards champion. Surrounded by towering pines, chirping birds, and rich heritage, our resort offers a peaceful, immersive stay in the heart of the hills. Few know that the historic Shannon Lodge, an annexe of our property, was once home to Vivien Leigh — the legendary actress of Gone with the Wind — who was born here in 1913 and studied at Loreto Convent nearby. Guests are welcome to explore the “Raja Kothi”, the preserved heritage wing featuring period furniture, old-world artefacts, and stories passed down generations. Whether you’re here for nature, nostalgia, or just a break from the busy world, Arcadia is your space to reconnect and relax. From lush gardens with evening bonfires to indoor reading rooms, private celebration corners, and our iconic Treehouse Café, everything at Arcadia blends comfort with character.

There are two words to describe " Simply awesome." I stayed for two days at Sterling and one day in this resort but the entire feeling of staying here for a night made me forget about Sterling Darjeeling. Special mention to Mrs. Anandi for being a great hostess and her sweet hand made tea.

The Arcadia resort was very beautiful, calm and serene on top where you can have a breathtaking view of hills and valley. We stayed in room no. 106, family room and it was just excellent and comfortable.

Beautiful heritage-style property, very well maintained. Loved the handmade pizza, and the breakfast had tasty local dishes. Rooms were clean with a great view, and it was a joy to watch the Darjeeling train from the balcony. Bed heating and all basics were provided. Overall, a lovely stay. I would love to come back!

Nice big rooms with excellent view of the valley and Kanchenjunga. Share taxi available for Mall commute. Inside parking is good. Climb is bit steep so please check if travelling with old aged members. Food quality and other services very good
